The peninsula of Maria Wörth – on the idyllic south bank of the Wörthersee – gets its enchanting characteristics from the two churches, located in the “middle” of the lake, the “heart of Lake Wörthersee”. During Advent season, the churches also represent the center of a very romantic program. In addition to solemn and spirited Advent concerts in the gothic pilgrimage church, the winter church, almost 900 years old, is also a highlight of the pre-Christmas period.
