Contemplative, reflective, and known as the heart of Lake Wörthersee thanks to the hallmark of the two churches on the prominent peninsula, the Romantic Church Advent in Maria Wörth is intended to round off the magic of Advent on Lake Wörthersee.
Connected to the towns of Klagenfurt, Velden, Pörtschach, and Keutschach, the warmly decorated Advent Island, serving as their connecting link, invites you to browse the Advent stalls.
For onward travel to the Christmas market on Pyramidenkogel, a shuttle bus runs between the boat and the excursion destination from Maria Wörth and towards Velden.

Daniela de Santos – The Queen of the Crystal Pan Flute
A special woman…, a unique instrument…, a flawless sound
Saturday, December 13, 2025 – 3:00 PM Concert at the Maria Wörth Pilgrimage Church
Program: “Christmas Dreams”
Experiencing a concert with Daniela de Santos is not just a delight for the ears and eyes, no… it is a touch of the heart. This oneness of person and music, of artist and instrument, of perfection and emotion, moves and reaches me… the listener.
“Christmas Dreams,” like the album of the same name, is what she calls her program for the fifth and most wonderful season of the year. It is intended to reflect love, kindness, and warmth of heart. She pours her experiences, her thoughts, and her memories into the music through her heart. Through her breath, the strong expression of her playing, and her unique instrument, the listener is greeted with a harmonious sound.
Repertoire:
Classics like “Silent Night” and “White Christmas” will reminisce about your childhood, and “Feliz Navidad” will captivate you with her Spanish temperament. Her incomparable “Ave Maria” (over 30 million views on YouTube) will move you to tears, and Cohen’s “Hallelujah” will overwhelm your heart. “Time to Say Goodbye” will ring out as a farewell… You’ll hardly believe it and wish you could turn back time.
Instruments:
In addition to the more well-known wooden pan flutes, such as the rosewood soprano flute, the Caucasian walnut alto pan flute, and the reed bass pan flute, Ms. de Santos can call the world’s first crystal pan flute, the “Celestina,” her own. The Austrian crystal giant Swarovski created a unique instrument made of crystal glass fiber for this exceptional artist. After three years of intensive work, a perfected, one-of-a-kind piece has been created that is unparalleled. It sounds crystal clear, strikingly different, and incomparably beautiful.
Team:
The artist is presented in the best possible light by a well-coordinated team. The sound technicians, with their professional handling of special sound columns, guarantee perfect listening pleasure from every seat in the large church. Subtle lighting effects complete the atmospheric concert.
