Whitefish Themed Trail
The “Whitefish Themed Trail” was opened here in spring 2022. Fish sculptures have been installed at various stations along the Reifnitz, providing information about the fish population and encouraging interactive knowledge testing. For example, the whitefish spawn every year between the end of April and the end of May. During their spawning migration, the fish meet daily in the Reifnitzbach stream to mate. These whitefish, also known as lake bleak, cause the stream to almost “boil over,” as the saying goes.
