The Romantic Church Advent in Maria W\u00f6rth takes place from November 21st to December 20th, 2026, every Saturday and Sunday, and on Monday, December 7th, and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8th, 2026. (saturday 12-7 pm – sunday 12 – 6 pm, 7.12.: 3-7 pm 8.12.2026: 12-7 pm: opening hours)<\/p>\n

This year’s highlight: the opening of the Romantic Advent in Maria W\u00f6rth on November 21st, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Advent market directly by the boat landing in Maria W\u00f6rth.<\/p>\n

Peaceful, contemplative, and characterized by the two churches on the prominent peninsula \u2013 known as the heart of Lake W\u00f6rthersee \u2013 the Romantic Church Advent in Maria W\u00f6rth aims to complete the Advent magic of the lake.<\/p>\n

Connected to the towns of Klagenfurt, Velden, P\u00f6rtschach, and Keutschach, the beautifully decorated Advent island, serving as a link between them, invites visitors to browse the Advent stalls.<\/p>\n

A shuttle bus service runs between the boat landing and the market on the Pyramidenkogel, departing from Maria W\u00f6rth and also towards Velden.<\/p>\n
